All members are encouraged to attend and compete in the 2020 Acer Cameron memorial this Saturday at 6.30am for a 7.00am commencement.
Alan “Acer” Cameron joined the club in 1974 and was renowned for his love of the racing mal, spending most weekends out in the surf doing tricks. Acer sadly died in 1988 in a plane crash in PNG while he was pursuing his other love of flying. This session commemorates Acers legacy.

Competitors can use their own accredited Racing Mals or a club rescue mal. It will be run in accordance with the SLSQ approved COVID Safe training guidelines and all competitors will be required to confirm their compliance with these guidelines.

The judging will use the Surf Board Riding points systems where points will be awarded for longest wave, hardest manoeuvres in critical spots on the wave, tricks such as headstands, cockroach, coffins. We will run through heats and semi’s with the final being the best four.

Looking forward to seeing you there to either participate or watch the action.
