Details
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a volunteer surf lifesaver in Australia.

Course Prerequisites
Minimum of 15 years of age on the date of assessment
400m pool swim in under 9 mins
Blue card application completed

Training Program
Induction: Wednesday 25th July at 6 pm
Timed Pool Swim: Thursday 26th July – 6 am
Theory: Each Wednesday night 25th July to 12th September – 6 pm to 9 pm
First Aid Element: Saturday 11th August 8 am to 4.30pm
Practical: Each Saturday morning 28th July to 8th September – from 8 am
Assessment: Saturday morning 15th September
